Connection That Supports the Whole Day

Companion Care is more than having someone nearby. Meaningful conversation, shared activities, and a familiar rhythm can help an older adult feel connected to daily life. Corley Care offers non-medical companionship with practical support shaped around each client’s interests, preferences, and routine.

For someone who spends long stretches alone, a dependable visit may bring welcome conversation and a reason to engage in favorite activities. For family members, it can bring reassurance that their loved one has attentive company and everyday support.

What Companion Care May Look Like

  • Conversation and social connection
  • Shared hobbies, games, reading, music, or walks where appropriate
  • Meal-related support and company at mealtimes
  • Light everyday household assistance where appropriate
  • Routine and appointment reminders
  • Accompaniment through ordinary daily activities

Medication support is limited to reminders; Corley Care does not administer medication or provide medical management.

Who Companion Care May Help

Companion Care may be a good fit for older adults who live alone, adults whose families live at a distance, or anyone who would benefit from more social contact and structure during the day. It may also complement Dementia Care by supporting familiar activities, reassurance, and engagement, or Transportation & Errands when outings are part of the agreed plan.

Companionship does not need to fill every moment with activity. Sometimes the most valuable support is an unhurried conversation, a shared cup of coffee, or steady presence while a client moves through a familiar routine.

Care Built Around the Person

Corley Care begins by learning what matters to the individual. Some people enjoy lively conversation; others prefer quiet company. Some want help staying engaged in hobbies, while others appreciate support around meals and household routines. We adapt the visit to the person rather than expecting the person to adapt to a rigid schedule of tasks.

Non-Medical Support With Clear Expectations

Companion Care is non-medical. It does not include skilled nursing, therapy, diagnosis, medical treatment, or emergency response. When a client also needs hands-on help with bathing, dressing, grooming, or toileting, Personal Care Assistance may be part of the conversation.

We had been through several home health companies and none of them would care for my parents as needed. My dad was a stroke patient and was difficult to transfer and to care for. My mother was difficult and hard to please. Ruth Corley was called and she and her team met their needs in a most gentle and caring way. She followed my dad’s care routine carefully and was so kind to them. I would highly recommend her to care for your loved one’s needs.
I liked Corley Care from the beginning, meeting with the owner, I found that she had a depth of knowledge and care that was reassuring given that I was new to needing help and care for my parents.
